I made a Patata Tortilla and it was a little, no, quite overcooked. I had it, granola yogurt, apple, and cafe au lait for my breakfast. Every year, I undergo an MRI scan for the cerebral aneurysm at the Tsukuba Neurosurgery and Headache Clinic. This year, I made a appointment by phone in advance. So, the wait time was short, and everything was done in about 90 minutes. After looking at the images, my doctor said there was no change from last year, and he said you will schedul for a follow-up appointment one year later. I bought a lot of vegetables at Torisen. I made sauce yakisoba with lots of vegetables. It was 2servings. I had one serving for my lunch. I left serving in my rifge. I also made a large amount of curry with pork and lots of vegetables. Made at least 8 servings. I made 2 packs of 3 servings each and froze them. I left 2 servings in the pot. Cats love to get into boxes. I have a wooden box on the table where I keep all the little things that get scattered around. When I took my camera out from it, my cat immediately swapped place. I had curry rice and seaweed and cucumber vinegar dish for my evening meal. |

I made Oshiruko (Mochi and Anko), granola yogurt for my breakfast. I also had some piar and cafe au lait. Next month, on Saturday, October 4th and Sunday, October 5th, the Western Prefectural Lifelong Learning Festival will be held. The Photo Kano Club will be holding a photo exhibition there. I have framed my eight photos for the exhibit. I had a toasted bread with two kinds of cheese for my lunch. I checked my home spending history, which had been accumulated for over three months. I have six account categories, cash, three credit cards, and two various electronic code payments. My wife also has the six. So my desk was full of receipts. Cats love to get into boxes. The cardboard box where I store slips was empty, so she went in. I made stewed lotus root, aburaage, and carrots, and a tofu with vinegared wakame seaweed and cucumber for my evening meal. I also had apple and Shine Muscat. |

I made grilled atsuage, granola yogurt, vegetable soup and cafe au lait for my breakfast. I've been using my Canon MP980 inkjet printer for over 10 years, but it finally stopped working and displayed the message "Ink absorber full." I was going to request a repair from the Canon to replace the ink absorber, but the period for requests has already expired. According to information on the web, the "Ink absorber full" message appears based on the number of pages printed, so the ink absorber still has capacity remaining. Therefore, if I reset the count, I can continue using it for a while (until the ink absorber is truly full). So I downloaded an application called ServiceTool_V2000.exe and followed the instructions on the web. It was a success, and my inkjet printer is now accepting the print. However, I'm sure it will soon start producing ink-stained printouts. I need to buy a new printer urgently, so I started looking for the best one. |

I made soumen with tomato soup, coleslaw salad, konjac and soybean stew, and granola yogurt for my breakfast. This lens is the Asahi Opt Takumar 1:3.5/200 1432199. I purchased it on Yahoo! Auctions on August 20, 2023, for about ¥1,000. It looks okay. No mold inside, minimal dust. It comes with front and rear caps and a tripod mount. It's pretty good. I'd completely forgotten I'd bought it. I used it for the first time yesterday after purchasing it. ‘ |

I got up early. I made scallop-flaked rice balls wrapped in nori seaweed, coleslaw salad, konjac and soybean stew, and granola yogurt with plum jam for my breakfast. I also had some Kosui pears and Shine Muscat grapes. I went to Chikusei City to attend the Photo Kano Club's regular meeting. I arrived a little late due to road construction on the way. We are going to hold a photo exhibition at the Center Festival on the 5th of next month. We have to set up the venue on the 4th. We also discussed that. Since the other members were unable to set up on the 4th, we decided to set up on the 3rd. I went from Chikusei to Tsukuba and had some soba noodles. Afterwards, I took a walk around Doho Park. I took some photos with the Konica Hexanon 1:2.8 f=38mm lens I recently modified. While I was walking, I was struck by a young boy practicing soccer. I wanted to take a photo of him, but a 38mm lens wasn't suitable. So I went back to the car, switched to a 200mm lens, and returned. He was still practicing there. I took about 40 shots from three locations. This is the best shot of them all. |

It was been a while since I last cooked rice. Freshly cooked rice is delicious. I had it with natto for my breakfast. I also had salad, granola yogurt, and cafe au lait. While I was writing my diary, a cat came and disturbed me. That's a normal thing that happens in my house. |

I got up early and made coffee. I checked the photo sharing site and posted some coments and photos. My wife made breakfast. I participated in the bread-making class at Sashima Community Center from 9:00. Today's assignment was to make Salted butter roll. I mixed the dough with butter, rolled it into strips, put a little bit of cold, firm butter on one corner, and rolled it up. I sprinkled rock salt on the outside and baked it. It turned out great. All freshly baked bread is delicious. I thought it was tasty enough without the little pieces of butter inside. My wife made a salad for our lunch. We also had Salted butter roll I made. My wife was returning to Ueda, so I took her to Shimizu Park Station. |

My wife cooked our breakfast, and I made coffee. My wife baked a chiffon cake to entertain guests during the spring equinox, which was served with whipped cream and candied apples. We had three sets of guests. My younger brother, my brother-in-law, and my wife's aunt. They were all relatives. We chatted with each of them for a while. |

My wife cooked our breakfast, and I made coffee. I modified my Konica Hexanon 1:2.8 f=38mm for Sony. It is not so good. So, I took some photos to find out what needs to be improved. I think it would be even more attractive if the aperture could be added. And I`m going to make to shorten the minimum focusing distance. However, both are difficult. I received Sekihan from my mother's parents' house. My cousin makes it and delivers it every during the equinox week. This is so delicious that it cannot be compared to commercially available products. My wife cooked a chicken and pumpkin dish for our evening meal. We also had the Sekihan. |

I made sauce yakisoba for my breakfast. I also had granola yogurt, cafe au lait. The theme song for our medicine time, "Rabbit Dance," played on my smartphone. Miya-O run away. The door was closed, so I was able to easily grab her and put her in the shoe bag. The medication was administered in less than five minutes. The sole of the left shoe is peeling off again. Continuing from yesterday, I roughed up the adhesive surface with a wire brush. I then applied a thin layer of glue to both adhesive surfaces. I waited until it was dry and no longer stuck to my finger. I glued them together and hammered them evenly. This time it's ok, perfect. My wife came to Iwai from Ueda. I went to pick her up at Shimizu Park Station. There was a traffic jam near National Route 16, so I was 20 minutes late. After that, we went to my favorite soba restaurant Kimura, to eat ten seiro soba. And we bought some groceries at Costco. |

I woke up late. It was cool and comfortable. I made Charumera with lots of vegetables, granola yogurt for my breakfast. I had a chocolate cornet that I bought at Torisen, and cafe au lait for my lunch. The computer I was using to back up image files stopped booting a few days ago. I tried various methods to fix it, but it seemed to be a problem with the storage device that stores the operating system. Today, before replacing the storage device, I was checking once more whether it was working properly. Then, suddenly, it started working again. They act like they don't know what happened. I wonder if I really don't need to buy new storage. The left sole of my trail running shoes I repaired on June 17th has come off again. I peeled it all off and removed the glue. When I looked at the glue I used last time, it was half hardened. I thought the glue I used last time for the repair was probably the cause of the peeling. I bought an adhesive G17 at Homac. I also bought some squid and sushi rolls at Torisen. I made stir-fried squid and lotus root with butter and soy sauce for my evening meal. I also had sushi rolls that I bought Torisen, and non-alcoholic beer. |

It's hot even though it's September. I made chilled curry somen noodles for my breakfast. I opened the windows in the other rooms to let the breeze in. I was editing photos in an air-conditioned room. Around 4 p.m., I was wearing headphones, but I heard a noise so I left the room and found a gust of wind blowing through my house. The photo frames fell and books were being blown away. I closed all the windows in the house. Warm and cold winds blew alternately. There were low dark clouds up and to the east. I looked around for a while, wondering if a tornado was forming. Eventually, the wind died down and cold rain began to fall. I thought it was a downburst or something. According to the news, Tsukuba City and Sakai Town suffered major damage at the time. Today was Thursday, Torisen's senior discount day. I bought groceries. I had pre-made fried horse mackerel and sushi rolls for my evening meal. I also had grilled carrots and okra, and non-alcoholic beer. |

I woke up early. I was making some minor adjustments to the parts of my lenses from yesterday, so breakfast was late. I had fried egg, shredded green pepper and cabbage, cucumber with seaweed vinegar, granola yogurt, and cafe au lait for my breakfast. I bought two katsudon bentos from Iwamoto Bentoya for the first time in a while. One for my younger brother and one for me. The price had goneup by 20%, from 400 yen to 480 yen. Well, prices are going up all over the place. It must be hard for them too. Still, it's a quality lunch box worth 480 yen. Konica HEXANON 1:2.8 f=38mm for my Canon EOS M5 and the aperture hood I extracted this lens from a rangefinder camera, Konica C-35 flashmatic. And I remounted to an EF-M mount for my Canon EOS M5. However, the C-35 has an integrated aperture and shutter structure inside the body, and there is no aperture mechanism in the lens. This extracted lens does not have an aperture. I must always shoot with the aperture wide open. So, I built a aperture mechanism into a hood. It screws onto the front of the lens. This looks and functions well with the EOS M5. On the other hand, the Sony version is not so good. There is room for improvement, so I will research it later. I had a Kurumi Pan(walnut bread), shredded cabbage and basil salad, and tofu for my evening meal. |

I woke up around 6 o'clock. I made a hot sandwich with egg, sausage, cabbage, onion, basil, and cheese for my breakfast. I also had grilled potato, grilled green pepper, coleslaw salad, and cafe au leit. Today I spent the whole day working on modifying my Konica HEXANON 1:2.8 f=38mm. As usual, I encountered some small problems while assembling the parts I made myself. I solved them one by one as I continued assembling. Once assembly was complete, I made some fine adjustments so that the focus would be at infinity. The Konica Hexanon 1:2.8 f=38mm works well with the EOS M5. But not so well with the Sony. I had curry rice, cabbage and bell pepper salad, and grilled atsuage for my evening meal. |

I worked on modifications at the lens factory all day today. It took a long time to carve out the wooden ring-shaped parts. I made two almost identical parts, one for Canon and one for Sony. I temporarily fitted the wooden parts and took some test shots. I made a Charumera filled with SUPM and plenty of vegetables for my breakfast. I had a Jiman Yaki, non-alcoholic beer, cabbage salad, and granola yogurt for my lunch. I had curry rice, sauteed green peppers, and cabbage salad for my evening meal. |

It wouldn't be surprising if it broke down at any time. However, the repair period has already expired. I need to prepare to buy a new one. I made a soup with cabbage, onion, shimeji mushrooms, and SPAM for my lunch. The cat relaxing outside in the refreshing evening breeze. My cat lives indoors. When the temperature drops in the evening, we spend some time outside together. |

I had fried egg, cabbage and green pepper salad, granola yogurt, and cafe au lait for my breakfast. I went to Mitsukaido Toyota at 10am. It was my FJ's 12-month inspection. Because I had signed up for the inspection program, the inspection included engine, chassis, tire, and brake inspections, as well as wiper rubber replacement and engine oil and oil filter replacement, at no extra cost. I found the cat's hiding place. It was a small gap between stacked storage containers, hidden from view by a cloth stuffed in a plastic bag placed in front. I didn't know there was a gap here. I had canned saury, cabbage and bell pepper salad, walnut bread, and cafe au lait for my lunch. At 4pm, I went to a nearby clinic for eyes regular checkup. I have a fundus exam and a visual field test every 6 months. My doctor said the results were the same as last time, so I will come back in six months for another exam. I modified the Konica HEXANON 1:2.8 f=38mm lens extracted from a junk rangefinder camera in my Fossil Lens Renovation Factory. I did some carving work for the first time in a while and the fingers on my left hand got sore. |

I had fried egg, stir-fried eggplant with miso, cabbage and green pepper salad, granola yogurt, and cafe au lait for my breakfast. I had SPAM meat, stir-fried eggplant with miso, cabbage and green pepper salad, Kurumi Pan, and cafe au lait for my lunch. I had SPAM meat, sliced tomato, basil, cabbage and green pepper salad, cold vegetable soup, and cafe au lait for my evening meal. My lens factory has been over 60 degrees every days. It's on the second floor of a warehouse, so hot air has been building up. Today, It's gotten a little cooler, with the windows open and the fan running, it was a barely possible temperature to stay in. I removed two lenses from two Konica C-35 Flashmatic rangefinder cameras. I plan to convert one to an EF-M mount and attach it to a Canon EOS M5, and the other to an E mount and attach it to a Sony ILCE-7RM3. I chose "Usagi no dsnce(Rabbit Dance)" as the theme song for Miya-O and me during medicine time. I decided to play this song on my smartphone while I searched for Miya-O, caught her, put her in my shoe bag, and gave her her medicine. I thought it would be kinder to use a song to warn her before doing something bad, rather than suddenly catching her and doing something bad. |

I got up early and cleaned up the lawn I had mowed the previous day. I finished work at 7 o'clock. I had the leftover the sauce yakisoba, served with a fried egg and cafe au lait for my breakfast. I participated in a bread-making class at Sarushima Community Center from 9:00. Today's assignment was to make Kurumipan. I mixed walnuts into the dough, shaped it into a flower shape, placed one walnut in the center, and baked it. It went well. It was delicious. Anyway, all the freshly baked bread is delicious. So, the yakisoba I made the morning was left over. Miya-O met with her doctor. He ran a blood test on her. The results were not significantly different from the previous test, so we decided to wait and see for three months. The next appointment is in three months. I made a soup with several kinds of vegetables and soy milk for my evening meal. I also had a salad of shredded cabbage, sliced tomatoes, and basil, and inari sushi that I bought at Torisen. The area of my lawn in the vacant lot owned by my wife is increasing every year, so it's becoming a lot of work every year and year. It got really hot around 10 o'clock. I was halfway through, but I stopped. I harvested some myogas. I made hot sandwiches with myoga, onion, basil, sausage, and cheese for my lunch. I had grilled eggplant, shredded cabbage, fried egg, Jiman-yaki, and cafe au lait for my breakfast. I walked 5 kilometers around Yasaka Park. While taking photos with my EOS M5 during my stay in Ueda, I suddenly lost access to the SD card I was using. I replaced it with a spare SD card and continued using my EOS M5. Today, I was able to recover the problematic SD card using a data recovery utility program, MiniTool Partition Wizard 13. I was able to regain access to the SD card and salvage the image files I had taken. This program requires a fee, with a lifetime license costing 26,180 yen(tax include). This is my second time using it. If I were to hire a professional to perform the data recovery work, it would cost around 2~30,000 yen per case. So, I've already made up for the cost. I have had two issues with the recording media while using my digital camera. It's a good idea for any digital camera user to always have a spare recording media on hand. The Chinese-made camera accessory I purchased on Amazon were incompatible with my camera. I misread the model number. So I tried to cancel the order and return it. I completed the return process on Amazon and received a refund a few days later. Normally, Amazon requires the seller to cover the return shipping costs. Sending the product from Japan to China via international mail costs around 2,500 yen. I notified the seller, and they said I could keep the product. So, I keep it now. This conversation was conducted through translation software, so it's inaccurate. I hope the refund isn't canceled. |

I woke up before dawn. I took a walk around the Ueda castle park before my breakfast. I took some photos under Ninomaru Bridge and a few other places. I bought two Gyunyuu-pan (milk bread) at the bakery Kokorade. It's bread sliced in two and stuffed with plenty of buttercream. It's the soul food of Nagano residents. I wanted to buy three, but there was a limit of two per person. Then I parked in the parking lot of Tsuruya and bought some Misuzu-ame and a snack called "Kurumi Soba". I also bought Fuji Ice's "JimanYaki". I had made a reservation for Fuji Ice by phone for 12:10. However, it seemed that they had received a large order before that time, so I had to wait about 20 minutes. I bought two packs of 5 Jiman-yaki. I returned to Iwai around 6pm. I had a salad with canned saury, shredded cabbage, and basil, gyuunyuu-pan for my evening meal. |

My wife made breakfast for us. My son went to work as usual. My wife went for a run, went to her gym class, and went to her yoga class. She returned at 3pm. I went to Jizo Pass with my cat to escape the heat and to photograph the stone Kannon statues. I parked my car on the side of the road near statue number 41. There are two Kannon statues at number 41, one large and one small. Someone once stole the small one and it went missing. A new larger stone statue was then made. A little while later, someone put the small one back. Therefor there are two. As I walked up the mountain pass, I continued photographing numbers 42, 43, 44, 45, and 47. I turned back at number 47 and returned, photographing numbers 47, 45, 44, 43, and 42 with a different lens. I couldn't find number 46. I've heard there are no missing statues. So it must be hiding in the grass. I'll try again next time. In the past, I used to photograph field stone Buddha statues as test specimens for my lens testing. Now, I sometimes find myself fascinated by their expressions. Because they are field stone Buddhas, there are no fine details carved into them. The stone they are made of is not particularly hard, so the carved surface is rough. However, the expressions have been carved with the utmost skill, and at times they can look very fascinating. It feels as though the feelings of the person who had this stone Buddha carved (the person who covered the costs), the person who carved it, the people who saw it, and the people who worshiped it are embodied in its expressions. The stone Buddha statue at this pass was a milestone on the path that villagers took to cross the pass and go to the hot springs deep in the mountains for therapeutic bathing. Someone made this stone Buddha and placed it here for someone else's safety. For over a hundred years, it has been praying for someone's safety. I now always clean the stone Buddha statue before photographing it, mostly to make the image look beautiful, but also out of respect for the people who made it. I enjoyed taking photos almost all day. My wife cooked our evening meal. |

My wife made breakfast for us. And she also made three lunch boxes, one for her son and two for our lunch. My son went to work as usual. Today, my wife and I went to Jizo Pass, and I parked my FJ in the shade of trees at there (1,732m above sea level) and left my cat inside the car. Then, we climbed Mt. Yunomaru (2,101m above sea level). It was a nearly straight climb, with very little shade, and the weather was good and the sun was strong, so we sweated quite a bit. This mountain has two peaks (South Peak 2,101m, North Peak 2,099m), about 200m apart. We climbed both, but there was no suitable shade there, so we had lunch in a shady spot a little further down. We went down the mountain around 3 o'clock. However, it was so hot in Ueda that we stayed at the pass until sunset. My wife was reading a book with the cat in the car. I took a few photos of the Kannon statue at number 65 at the pass. Next, I parked in a large parking space at the close to the 22nd Kannon stone statueand started taking photos from number 22. As I was going down the mountain pass road, I also took photos of the Kannon statues at numbers 21, 20, and 19. Before I knew it, the sun had gone down. I called my wife and asked her to drive the FJ to the statue at number 19. We arrived in Ueda at 6pm. My wife cooked our dinner. |

My wife made breakfast for us. And she also made some inarizushi for our lunch. My son went to work as usual. Miya-O, My wife and I through Komoro, up the Cherry Park Line, and headed to the Takamine Kogen Visitor Center. This was the second checkpoint of The Asama Star Cross Walk 2025, which I had recently encountered. This was our first time visiting the area. We arrived at 10:30. I parked the FJ in a shady parking lot. I left the cat behind. We received a map at the visitor center and learned about the area from a guide. Mount Asama is a bit far. The nearby Nishi-Kagonote-Yama, Higashi-Kagonote-Yama, Mizunote-Yama traverses were appealing for us. However, we were short on time today, so we decided to climb Mount Takamine, which is 2,106 meters above sea level. The elevation difference from the trailhead to the summit is about 130 meters. We encountered several alpine plants. We reached the summit comfortably and had lunch there. We descended the mountain around 2 o'clock. On the way back, we took the forest road and passed Jizo Pass to return to Ueda. We had our evening meal at a Chinese restaurant in Ueda. It was my first time there. I felt it was too salty and didn't bring out the flavor of the ingredients. My wife agreed. We probably won't be going there again. |
